The official Galaxy S9 USB drivers are always bundled with Samsung Smart Switch that you can download for Windows PC. You can also directly connect your Galaxy S9 to the computer and wait till it is recognized by the PC and MTP drivers are automatically installed. Android MTP drivers have always been included with every phone running Android 8.0 Oreo software. Please note, Samsung KIES is no longer compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S9. Samsung launched Smart Switch, a brand new utility for transferring content when switching phones or updating Galaxy S9 firmware.

Samsung Galaxy S9 USB Drivers for Mac
It is really easy to connect the Samsung Galaxy S9 internal storage and SD card storage to a Mac. All thanks to a small utility by Google that allows any Android device storage to work with OS X. If you have been a Google Pixel / nexus user in the past, you may know how easy it is — even for the new Galaxy S9.
Google provides a free utility for macOS, called Android File Transfer, that users can use to connect their Android phones (and tablets) to transfer their data between the phone and the computer. Android File Transfer misses out on a number of important features and feels very outdated, but it gets the job done and is compatible with almost every Android device out there. However, as mentioned earlier in this post, AFT has been having lots of issues with Android phones running on Android Oreo. Most notably, even Google’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL doesn’t connect properly on macOS. That has been taken care of with another free alternative on Mac called as HandShaker. We have talked about it below.
Make sure you have a Galaxy S9 and a USB-C cable (preferably, the one that came with the phone). Then follow these quick steps:
Step 1 –Download Android File Transfer and install it on your Mac computer.
Step 2 –Download Samsung Smart Switch and install that on your Mac as well. Step 3 – Connect your Galaxy S9 with the computer and a USB-C cable.
