Within the driver pack I spotted drivers for Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 in both x86 and x64 flavours. Decided to throw caution to the wind and go straight to Windows 10 x64.   Kodi, MediaPortal and good places to start.
  I'm still using Windows 7 Media Center, but I'm slowly researching a replacement.

  Kodi won't work on it's own. It needs a TV backend prog to feed TV it.
  (I think you can install this from within Kodi, but I've never had success with it)
  I think Mediaportal would work as a standalone solution.
  I had the same problem when I moved to Windows 10, but I ended up just installing the software that came with the TV, which was Arcsoft Total Media.Mind you, I only occasionally use the TV card.
  (I was using WMC on Win7)
  Alternatively there is a way to install WMC to Win 10, although I haven't tried it personally.

  Most Windows software I've found tends to be complete balls, I've heard DVBViewer is decent though but the best I've come across on Windows is SichboPVR.

  One of my boxes has Win10 and I've installed WMC using info from this rather long thread. Works best on a clean Win10 install - just an upgrade leaves some leftover eHome files that prevent proper install.
  Also, major Win10 OS upgrades (like Nov 2015) will wipe out the WMC install, but I fixed this using the uninstall feature in the files from the above link, manually deleting any eHome stuff from the Windows and the hidden Program Data directories, then re-installing as before. Obviously, you then have to re-scan for channels.
  So - live TV with WMC on Win10 is a bit hands-on, but I can confirm it works.
