Hi, I have the same issue... I have Graphire 4 and was pretty satisfied with it until Maverics. Recenty I wrote to Wacom user support and got this reply:
Thank you for your e-mail.
I am terribly sorry for we no longer provide any driver version that would allow you to use your Graphire 4 tablet with the latest Mac system version. The technology gap between these two items is unfortunately too large.

Graphire 4 is 2007 I guess. Wow, that's as if my iPhone 3G (2008) couldn't even connect to my MacBook anymore because of Maverics... I can't believe that realitevly simple positioning HW is so hard to make new drive for. So disapointed by Wacom. So much 😟

I just got the Bamboo and installed this software (a little nervous as it installs a kext, but I guess you've got to do that with these), and so far it seems fairly stable, and the features are great! I'm glad they didn't skimp on the mac version. And the only complaint I have is that this thing isn't entirely Universal. Everything is Universal except for the driver: 'TabletDriverCFPlugin.bundle', hopefully this was just an oversight and will be fixed in a future release. -1 star for that for now.

I have an Intuos tablet already and recently purcased a Graphire4 for lugging to workplaces (looks cooler, anyway, than that ugly industrial grey Intuos - yuk).
The last thing I expected was a crippled driver that DOES NOT SUPPORT application specific commands. This is STUPID.
I emailed Wacom support and they fully confessed to me that the 'consumer' (consumer means, 'you spent less') tablet drivers intentionally do not provide these features and there are no plans to do so.
What a crap attitude to have about your customers. I'm returning my Graphire4, which pains me, but I refuse to give Wacom my cash when they tell me I'm worth more when I use their Intuos and I'm not a professional when I use the Graphire. Way to insult a customer.
Where do these people learn to do business??? From the back of a matchbook?
Consider yourself warned: when you buy a Graphire from Wacom, you'll NOT be getting the same features that other users are getting. Jeez, even my microsoft mouse supports application mapping.

Doesn't work properly. Response is now very slow and buttons and double clicking work only periodically! Removed all files (be sure to get them all as there is NO uninstaller this time). Installed old version, works fine again.
