Broadcom Gnss Geolocation Sensor Drivers For Mac
Hello - Apologies for starting a new thread on this, as it has been discussed previously some while ago, but after many updates including the 1607 anniversary update and system firmware updates etc of 8/8/16 my S3 has been running reasonably reliably, except that the GNSS 47531 user-mode driver still crashes pretty much every time the system restarts, resulting in the GNSS sensor not working. This is logged in Event Viewer as critical error from DriverFrameworks-UserMode, Event ID 10111 'The device Broadcom GNSS 47531 Geolocation Sensor (location BcmGnssBus - GPS Function) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash...', plus various other associated error entries. It can be coaxed into running by disabling/re-enabling the driver in Device Manager, though it often takes two or three attempts. It then runs stably, including through sleep/wake and shutdown/switch-on cycles, until the next restart. Driver version is 20.23.8244.18. I wonder if anyone else is (still) seeing this sort of behaviour? Or if anyone has a fix? - Thanks...
