The Kova[+] now also comes with a feature-rich driver package, allowing precise adjustment of the sensitivity and dpi settings. All seven buttons plus the mouse wheel can be assigned a multitude of functions and custom macros, as well as predefined ROCCAT® Presets.

I see a lot of posts about AMD vs Intel, ATI vs nVidia, and I'm in the market for a new mouse. By far, the two most recommended brands on this sub are Roccat, which has unofficial Linux drivers, and Zowie, which uses generic drivers. I'd like to hear what you guys think of two questions: which one will work better, and which company deserves my money more?
The way I see it, Roccat made a conscious decision to give the guy who makes their drivers early access to their hardware, while Zowie wasn't necessarily thinking about Linux when they decided to not require drivers. However, relying on one person to support drivers, especially drivers for so many devices, seems like it would result in said developer being spread too thin. But I'll totally admit I know very little about such things. What do you guys think?
